Answered Prayers and a Baptism!

This week was a GREAT week for Elder McMullan!  Such a HUGE answer to my prayers.   He isn't the type that needs to be coddled,  but from a Mom's perspective, he needed to feel that Heavenly Father was completely aware of him and he needed to feel loved!  I've been praying for exactly that.   This week he received 2 letters from 2 sweet friends, Lauren and Naomi.  He also received a package from another dear friend, Sis Leonard (and the Mia-Maids) from the ward.  That might not sound like much to a missionary serving in the States, but for a missionary over seas, where the mail is shady at best....., it's a pretty BIG deal.  Getting them all in 1 week is another miracle, since all were sent at such different times!  Prayer works!

Pierce shared a lot of insights that I don't think he'd be comfortable with me sharing here.  Sometimes I read his emails and can't believe it's the same boy who left us 15 months ago.  He may be learning the hard way, but he's taking it all in stride and not letting it get the best of him.  He's learning, growing and becoming stronger every day.  He's matured and has been an amazing example to us.  Most recently, of perseverance and forgiveness.

Here are a couple of excerpts from today's email:

"Well we were wrong.... about Angie   She apparently isn't breaking the Law of Chastity.  Or at least not now.   A real conversion does take time and she has changed A LOT since I've been here.   This past week she dumped her boyfriend,  dropped other bad friends and changed just a little bit more.  She knows all the answers and wants to go the temple someday. So on the 18th she'll get baptized!"

Having someone there 24/7.. *eye twitch* for 15 months is getting to me. ha ha!"
