Things are looking up!

I don't want to jinx anything, but things seem to be improving there in his sector!  He seems much more upbeat and positive about things.  Yay for small miracles!  Also, I love the look on his face in all the pictures.  His smile says it all.  :)

Here are a few excerpts from today's email:

"There is this really funny thing the people do here.  For some reason, the people think it's hilarious to yell "HELLO" at the missionaries.  The other day, a police car was driving, screeched to a stop and did a u turn.  They then yelled "HELLO" to us, and sped off super fast.  Bizarre, but hilarious!"

"There is this boy, Niko in our sector.  He is 6 or 7?  He has a really raspy voice and eats super hot peppers like a mad man! Every time we see him he yells, “ELDERS!”  Then he runs to us COVERED in some sort of dirt or something.  We ask what he's doing and he always says “working!”  Then he runs  off to some random house and helps them build something.  He’s a character for sure.  He reminds me so much of Aiden! "

"This past week was weird.  Muñoz goes home on Sunday.  It will be strange having a new companion again. Hopefully it will be another Latin.  I'd like to be forced to speak only Spanish.  I feel like I work well with them too."

"I almost forgot.., so there is this guy who took the discussions before.  He  didn't get baptized because he said the missionaries pressured him into it too much. His girlfriend is a strong member and he's been coming for the past 8 weeks or so.  He has the scriptures on his phone and hymns too.  He even bought a suit. We talked to him yesterday, and he basically told us that the first time he went to church it was for her, but now he really likes it and comes for himself.  His brother, who is a member, told us he stopped drinking and doesn't even wear his earrings anymore. We Have a lesson scheduled on Thursday.   Hopefully it will go well.   I know that he will get baptized soon.  He participates in FHE and prays in church as well."

More of El Morro.

Strange car they came upon.

A tribute to Arizona??

The Elders ate with these kind members today.  Aren't they cute!
