He will be training a new Elder from Bolivia. Here are some excerpts from today's email:
"I barely got here like an hour ago and I'm sooo tired. The new pension (house/apartment) is interesting. Nothing like the other one. Elder P and I live alone. He is from Bolivia and doesn't speak any English."
"The 24 hours in that bus were the best.....(I sense sarcasm) I saw every single city in the mission until the very end. I was the only one to go from the polar opposite sides of the mission. It's cool here. It’s a small city but it's green! There are plants and trees here, which is awesome. Something I haven’t seen in a while."
"Elder Holland came in the 90s sometime and closed down all of Vallenar, because the members were doing some pretty strange stuff. I guess they've been changing a lot, and there's a lot to do, so that's good."
"Every stop on the way down here, more missionaries got on and off at every city. I would get off to stretch and talk. I saw my replacement for Las Aacacias in Iquique. I almost got to see Elder Wallace (CCM Companion) too, but his bus came like one hour after we left again. I saw Elder Moris (his first Companion) in Antofagasta too. That was great to see him. Probably the last time before he goes home, unless he comes to Vallenar. I can't send pictures from the computer which stinks (you're telling me!)."
Here are some pics of the city that I snagged off Google. I'm pretty positive he would take pics of the same things. Just pretend Pierce took them........
I bet Elder McMullan will walk these very same streets! :)
Perhaps the Elders will buy fresh produce from this nice man. I'm sure it's perfectly clean.....
I'm sure his house/apt is somewhere out there......
Yep, this is from a postcard, so probably way prettier in the pic..., but you get the idea.
Potential investigators????
Most likely from another postcard? Isn't it pretty?!
