Halloween in Chile

This past week all the Elders he lives with (including him) got really sick.  They all seem to be better now though!

This past week, the ward had a Halloween party.  (Yes, apparently they celebrate Halloween!)  From the pictures Pierce sent, he seemed to have had a great time!

Their investigator, "M", a.k.a "Dragon-born", came to church this past week.  They went by and picked him up, but he came regardless!  Their other investigator, "E" is progressing nicely. They have addressed and helped her with all of her doubts and fears.  He feels she is finally ready for baptism.  :)

Here are a couple excerpts from his email:  "Sometimes I wish I could've seen the transformation of all the guys back home.  I'm so glad Joe is excited to serve!   A lot of guys couldn't handle the CCM, but it sounds like Joe is ready!  He'll be fine.
There is a really great movie that I've watched a lot since I've been out here.  It's by Thomas S. Monson.  It's called "On the Lord's Errand."  During the time in the CCM,  I pretty much had to remind myself that "in my patriarchal blessing it says you'll be a leader, so it's time to start acting like one!"   Then when I saw that movie, I knew that's what all missionaries should aspire to be like, including me."

"This past week I came to the realization that tons of the words I use, don't exist in other countries besides Chile.   I really don't know how to describe some things without using them. It's like learning Spanish then learning Chilean at the same time!  Good times."

Here is a link to that movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=th6OrORV8os
