Elder McMullan's first baptism

A few excerpts from Pierce's email:

"The baptism went really well.  Estephany's mom came too, which was really awesome. Estephany is the only member in her immediate family.   She has already asked when she can go to the temple, so that’s good.   Her mom said the building was beautiful and asked how we keep it so clean and "luxurious?" (That’s how she described it). I guess other churches aren't very pretty on the inside?? She asked a lot of questions."

"President D is really nice.  We really only hear from him through the zone leaders, but he came up last week to get us revved up again.  Our city is struggling right now with finding people.  Although, our sacrament attendance has gone up 10% in the past month.  I suppose we are doing pretty good with the inactive members."

"I recently read the Old Testament from cover to cover because I figured why not."

"They don't really do holidays here like the states, so no Thanksgiving.  For Christmas, I think that we will Skype you guys or something and hang out with Mario for a little bit, because he has no family."

Crazy story of the week."There is this less active lady who goes to the Evangelical church.  She told us her pastor said she needed to be baptized and she refused. She told him she was baptized in the true church, (the Mormon church) which has the authority…..yet, she doesn't come."

Pierce's camera battery died right after he sent these pics..., so we have to wait until next week for the rest.  :(
