Doris' Baptism!

I can't believe Pierce will be home in 13 days!!!  CRAZY!  I'm over the top excited and nervous all at the same time!  Nervous for him, excited for us.  He's ready to come home and excited to re-connect with family and friends, but I know it's going to be hard for him to leave the people that he's grown to love so much!  It's also going to be especially hard not having his days scheduled every hour of the day. :)

Here are a few excerpts from Monday's email:

Doris was baptized Saturday!  (Pierce has been teaching her since he arrived in Iquique)  She was a basically a golden reference from a recent (ish) convert in another ward.  She was also a golden reference from another member. Pretty cool!  It was a really stressful and great baptism!  She called me like a half hour before the baptism, to tell me that something had happened and she couldn’t make it on time!  Basically,  I died in that moment!  But it all worked out in the end! It was so great!"

"Random question…., Could you get the genealogy stuff from Grandpa McMullan? I really want to do something while I’m doing nothing at home for a couple months."

"Then you got SAN DIEGO.....,I’m Jealous,  but hey the Pacific is like 5 min walking from my house here so haha."

"The other people who were going to get baptized…., well I feel like they lost interest because they prefer working rather than going to church on Sundays."

Elder Santos, Georgina, (the lady who gave us the reference) Doris then me.
